Bowling was a main source of activitiy growing up.. all the way up until our early 20s..

My favourite one was the one in West Nyack.. by Janet Hogans.. where tha Palisades Mall is now..

They all went the way of the drive in..Ansleynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2457411005352662997.post-15317299901872928192009-04-13T00:13:00.000-04:002009-04-13T00:13:00.000-04:00There are also lanes in Pearl River and Montvale. ...There are also lanes in Pearl River and Montvale. I've only been able to get a lane in PR once - they're fuckin' league crazy, there.

D.Dave Koppermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09292071349686573917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2457411005352662997.post-27437741488807084812009-04-13T00:12:00.000-04:002009-04-13T00:12:00.000-04:00Around here, the closest is the Lucky Strike over ...Around here, the closest is the Lucky Strike over at the Palisades Center, which I actually enjoy a lot. It's not particularly expensive (certainly cheaper than the Port Authority by a wide margin), and they're mercifully free of league nights, so you can go and bowl pretty much any time you want.

The food is pretty good, too - sort of advanced bar food, complete with the salt. My only complaints would be a) lame selection of beers, with only Red Stripe being a standout, and b) they could pipe in better music. Jim suggests a live surf/punk band, and I think I agree with him.

They also have a large second gaming area with SkeeBall, air hockey, pool, etc. I recommend. Also have in the past: http://copper-man.net/2007/08/bowling-with-dollers.html

D.Dave Koppermanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09292071349686573917noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2457411005352662997.post-9587535339663085152009-04-12T20:44:00.000-04:002009-04-12T20:44:00.000-04:00p.s. I've had that bowling crave before... in December '06, Greg and I discovered we were BOTH having it simultaneously, and decided our second date would be bowling. And then we found out the lanes at Port Authority wanted to charge us $116, minimum, for an evening of bowling. Laaaame.
(Ironic that our alternative activity, "Borat", turned out to be LESS lame...)Christinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15159869224596312134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2457411005352662997.post-18414769983678364952009-04-12T20:41:00.000-04:002009-04-12T20:41:00.000-04:00You can come over and bowl on our Wii...Where CAN ...You can come over and bowl on our Wii...

Where CAN one bowl in Rockland-area nowadays anyway?
